i think he's talking about his own thoughts, he has fallen in love with everything he wishes his life was. he dreams about these things at night and only when he is alone can really experience them, but it upsets him because none of it is real. i've had the same things happen to me in my life. its a problem with an overactive imagination. at least thats what it means to me.
