It seems like this song is about a girl who dates people only to break up with them.
"Vanity's got this new gun that she wants to try on you" means (to me) that she breaks up with them in "new" ways or something to that effect.
"and everyone is painted on, singing scripted songs" is kinda like the guys give her same lines/things all the time. The next line then means that she's so quick to let go of them. I'm probably wrong with this, but some of these lines seem like they might deal with such a situation
