Love Life Lyrics

Slug, my favorite artist of them all!!! This song is extremely deep. "Individually wrapped placed in neat little rows. Becoming a piece of everything that grows. Some numbers a name to indicate you played the game..." I believe this is a metaphor for death. Individually wrapped=casket/coffin Placed in neat little rows=cemetary becoming a piece of everything that grows=being in the ground returning to nature some numbers (birthdate-date of death), a name=your name on your tombstone, to indicate you played the game=the game of life. There is an old saying, "We are the same six feet under." Whether you are king, queen, slave, poor, or homeless, we all end up in the same place. So, if circumstances and wealth are all different there can be only one thing to do that makes life worth living...LOVE IT!!! That kinda summarizes the song for me. But there is another thing I would like to talk about. Slug says, "Staring at the bathroom mirror in a strangers apartment dont remember her name dont remember how I got here..." Well, to me this is not him saying that he got drunk and had a one-night stand, to me it symbolizes birth. Who is she you ask? God. Her apartment is the universe. Thats all I wanted to say, I could write a whole book on the depth of this song. It just blows me away. I love Atmosphere.
