Until you've lived it, you have no clue. Part of "pouring yourself into" that mold means losing little parts of yourself, as your edges are re-shaped and filed down to fit. Your breath bends so far that you lose your voice.

And it's insidious, sneaky... he doesn't start out that way. Kind of gets that way a little bit, and then a little bit more, and by the time you realize that you aren't yourself anymore, you don't know who the hell you ARE. And you can't leave, 'cuz the missing pieces are all ... well, missing.
