I think this song points out te fact that we are all born dying, and whether or not there is a god waitng for us, the person who tis is for is compromising their faith because of some loss that has occurred. And pride is the barrier between the believer and the belief. It's almost saying that god exists, but he's a bastard. He kills more innocent people than anyone else, anddoesn't offer reasons as to why. Just a theory.
