ok, i don't get into lyrics of songs very much, i enjoy the actual music a lot more, but this is my favorite song in the world because of the lyrics. This song helped me to get over a 2 year relationship. Basically, I think what matt is saying, is that he's tired of giving to this girl, he's so sick of giving his entire heart, and not getting his fair share in return, he's just sick of loving her, but as long as she keeps living him, he can't stop loving her.
