How come incesticide is so overlooked? I listen to this one the most out of all of Nirvana's cds'. It has some really great songs on it, including this one. Check out incesticide if you have'nt!!
Yep, definitely one of the most underrated albums ever. As Allmusic said about the album, it captures the "freewheeling indie spirit" of Nirvana whereas Nevermind, with all due respect to that incredible album, doesn't.

It's more of an album for those Nirvana fans with acquired tastes, compared to your average die hard Nevermind-thumping Nirvana fans that don't really like the more Grunge/metal sound of Kurt's early recordings. I can say that first hand because when I first listened to Nirvana I loved Smells Like Teen Spirit but I shied away from songs like Been a Son and Stain, and so on. But now I can say Incesticide is probably my favorite Nirvana album.

@KIM04 It was a collection of mostly previously released rarities, not a new recording. It was not heavily promoted and featured no new singles. While most of us heard these songs for the first time through Incesticide, it's still a stopgap release with hints of uneven production and nascent songwriting.

That said, "Aneurysm" and "Dive" are among my favorites, and this album still surpasses most other group's best work.

KIM04- Totally agree with you. It's sadly overlooked.
