Trailer Park Jesus Lyrics
Put the needle to the record
And hit me with your style.
Soon enough, I'll learn to unload my mouth
Can you see it's getting blacker?
The vibe up in this place
When I displace what made me turn my face
I can't wait...
I can't wait...
I jumped ship to a burning sow
Had a ball
Atom bomb
It was quite a dirty habit
When the last thing I do has a swine sewn
Down martyr avenue.
Am I driftwood or Hosanna?
I'm knee-deep in disease
I'm the body
Laid anonymously
On a beach, girl
On...a...beach...
I jumped ship to a burning sow
Had a ball
Atom bomb
I jumped ship to a burning sow
Had a ball
Atom bomb
I jumped ship to a burning sow
Had a ball
Killed a Shark
I jumped ship to a burning sow
Had a ball
Atom bomb
Denial is a river in Egypt
Division is a reunion in the South
Soon enough I.i.. I'll learn to
Denial is a river in Egypt
Elusive as the communion in my mouth
Soon enough I...I'll learn to...
I jumped ship to a burning sow
Had a ball
Atom bomb
I jumped ship to a burning sow
Had a ball
Atom bomb
Tell the one about the man
Who dug out holes so deep
He lost sight of his word.

OH MY FUCKING GOD we have a genius on this website. jebbles how on earth were you able to pipoint the relationship of the nile river in the phrase "denial is a river in egypt" .. shit everything is so clear now. good find bro!
Tell me this doesn't sound closer and make more sense:
"Am I driftwood or hosana? A knee-deep in disease. I'm the body Laid ANONYMOUSLY
ON THE BEACH GIRL ON THE BEACH"
Also, "Allusive" should be "Elusive"
"Tell the world about the man who dug a hole so deep he lost sight of his word"
"Tell the world about the man who dug a hole so deep he lost sight of his word"
Daryl changes the lyrics on the recordings from the album jacket liner notes all the time. These couple things definitely need fixed.

that part in the song is so touching!
this song is great man.... chillin
im glad some1 correctd he lyrics. i soooooo wish it was the other way around though
the song is very cryptic, but i think the meaning came more into focus when you like at the title, "trailer park jesus". i think its about someone who is confused about their life and wants to get out of the hell-hole they're living in. they want to "jump ship" and blow everything up. and then the last stanza he kind of has a revelation and he doesnt want to become the man he's talking about. am i making any sense?
Hey Silverbean22, I think you're getting somewhere with that. I do think it has something to do with wanting to escape from the hell that life can be (Trailer Park), and wanting to be his own savior, saving himself from his unhappy existence (Jesus). Trailer Park Jesus. Makes sense right? That last stanza does have a sense of regret to it... I think that the "holes" are his fantasies of escape... and "digging so deep he lost sight of his world" means that he became so enraptured in fantasy that he almost forgot about reality. I guess he regrets giving up what life he had because he didnt like it... as though feeling bad because he had taken it all for granted. So in the end, is he saying that a bad existence may be preferable to none? These are just theories, but if it makes sense to you just say so....
that makes more sense than i can. i had no idea what it was about.
