Yeah it's over,
You can bet in mid-October,
I will still be ranting bout most early may.
Yeah he's a winner
He's a god damned sinner.
While he dines I'm on the wrong side of the day
And I said,
I don't understand why I'm fumbling after
You're the reason
I cannot forget this season
Or the letter when you first referred to eight.
And I said

It's a Calypso, but it's not easy to know.
You walk around with your shoulders down
Frowning.
It's not easy to know

Yeah it's over,
You can bet when mid-October ends,
I'll still be ranting bout most early may.
So yeah, he's a winner,
He's a goddamn sinner,
While he dines I'm in the wrong side of the day
And I said,
I don't understand why I'm fumblin' after
Yeah you're the reason i cannot forget this season.
Or the lesson how an Ape shall not kill Ape
And I said...

It's a Calypso, but it's not easy to know.
you walk around with your shoulders down
Frowning
It's not easy to know

It's just a tango
But it's not easy to choke,
I walk around with my horns down now,
But it's not easy to know

I'm going under
You can trust a man who's a governor,
Ape can't trust man.

You can trust a man with a gun at all,
Ape can't trust man.

It's a Calypso, but it's not easy to know.
you walk around with your shoulders down
Frowning
It's not easy to know

It's just a tango
But it's not easy to choke,
I walk around with my horns down now,
But it's not easy to choke

How could you win?
If you know he's back to blame
Knowing you're right, won't you wait?

I've read (in an interview with Daryl) that this song is like an apology to Tiger (his ex) for having such a go at her in EYEWTKAS. I have no idea if someone already said that (there's 106 comments! I haven't read them all!) Sorry if they have.

This song is about a guy breaking up with his girlfriend, and her moving on and him being stuck in the past ''Yeah, it's over. You can bet in mid-october, I will still be ranting 'bout early may.'' He knows it's over, he just really doesnt want to come to terms with it properly. His ex has got a new boyfriend who's perfect. And im not too sure about this bit but to me the lines ''Yeah he's a winner, He's a goddamn sinner.'' Suggest that he seems to be great but he cheats on her (being a sinner). It's so easy for people to tell someone get over a person. I think this song is saying Its really not that easy. This song is about not being able to move on.

Also I think there are some errors in these lyrics, im not positive though so don't shoot me if i'm wrong...

I always thought it was: ''Or the letter when you first referred to it'' ''It's all calypso. But it's not easy to know.'' (first chorus says ''easy you know'') Also in the first verse it says ''To walk around with your shoulders down frowing'' I think it's ''You walk around...'' throughout the whole song. I may be wrong

Yah, all you guys dissing GlasJAw's new album need to to fucking wake up and listen to the music.

Yah, it's definitely different, in some respects, but if you know GlassJAw and what they're all about you can grow to love these songs. I havent heard them all yet but the ones I have (which haven't even been mastered yet) are fucking awesome.

GlassJAw has definitely matured with the time that has passed by since they made EYEWTKAS, they were all around 19 when they made that. Bands that keep trying to diss out the same ol' material are only in it for material gain that they can get. GlassJAw should be commended for letting their music gorw along with them.

GO BUY "WORSHIP AND TRIBUTE" JULY 9th!

The first releasals of this CD are going to be enhanced with 3 videos on them so get out there and get it, don't wanna miss out on that.

Ape Dos Mil = Man of 2000. That's what some of my friends speculated anyway.

I agree... it's such a good song. I think it's about a guy who lost his girlfriend/whatever and she had so much of an effect on him that his world is really messed up now... he just cant get over the fact she's gone, even though she's royally f*cked him over (the whole first verse).

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
