Black Magic Woman Lyrics
Got a Black Magic Woman
Got a Black Magic Woman
I've got a Black Magic Woman
Got me so blind I can't see
That she's a Black Magic Woman
She's tryin' to make a devil out of me
Don't turn your back on me, baby
Don't turn your back on me, baby
Yes, don't turn your back on me, baby
Stop messing around with your tricks
Don't turn your back on me, baby
You just might pick up my magic sticks
You got your spell on me, baby
You got your spell on me, baby
Yes, you got your spell on me, baby
Turnin' my heart into stone
I need you so bad
Magic Woman I can't leave you alone
A special woman, perhaps she doesn't exist, but she's like no one else
Aw. :)

This song was written by British blues/rock guitarist Peter Green. His leaner arrangement was a big UK single for the late 60s Fleetwood Mac.

i hav memories listening to this song when in the dark in the middle of the woods eating a munster cheese/ roast beef sandwich
It's about a man who's in a love with a girl who's exactly the type of woman he wanted and he finds it unbelievable ("magic") and finds out that she is most innocent and nice, but she has a bad side ("black")!
polyrhythms that give the song a "voodoo" feel distinct from the original. This song has a latin feel to it. The song is based on a women who is very mysterious and she is pushing him over the edge. Meaning making him fall in love with her and he is scared she will turn her back on him once she has cast her spell.
I am also a bit unsure as sillysoz is about this line 'cause you might just wake up my magic sticks???
Magic sticks. I think this song has some of its orgins in voodoo,

this song is really good!
a sound of its own
This is a good song. As usual, it is about falling in love.
It's about falling for an evil corrupting woman.
It is brilliant.A mixture of African music and rock. It speaks about being in love with a femme fatale. It totally reminds me of Lulu from Final Fantasy X.Her style combines Gothic and Ethnic elements.
@CinnamonKitten Not so much African as Latin . . . but I get your point.
