I had to look up who Steve McQueen is. I'm not old enough to have heard of him. Turns out he is just another old-time Hollywood actor. I guess he has a persona similar to Jimmy Dean's, that is, Mr. Hollywood Cool. So that's some useful background information.
To be honest, I don't like this song. The chorus is too in-your-face, the song is a bit too kitschy for me. But yeah, it's OK...
He's the coolest movie star of all time...best movie he did was Bullitt...this song plays off the cool persona...this lady is cool and probably too cool for her man
This is my favorite Sheryl Crow song...
first and foremost she should never have done first cut is the deepest or sweet child of mine, those are sung to girls from guys, it's just how it works. other than that, steve mcqueen was a great actor who died before his time. the video has cut scenes from bthe chase in bullit(with sheryl as steve) and the motorcycle chase in great escape. only problem is they used dirt bikes instead of old ww2 german harleys.
