World of Shit (The Promised Land) Lyrics
Bred from the bowels
Sheep one and all
Bound by the doctrine of lies
To fucked human shit, I shout blasphemy!
As I make my way thru to
The promised land
Smell of shit is so foul
Writhe in disgust
Earth heaves and death comes to call
All the waste - Cling to your lie
You are as sand and the wind blows
My disgust - A fever
To kill a thousand more
Gene dead from birth
God's holy fuck
Canonized but of no use to me
Human shit, waste begone from my earth!!
Desolation - no life bodies littering
Beast of earth devour!
Cleanse this world for those who deserve
Burning cities, all is well
I remain in my conviction
As the waste in sewer flows thru the promised land
Sheep one and all
Bound by the doctrine of lies
To fucked human shit, I shout blasphemy!
As I make my way thru to
The promised land
Writhe in disgust
Earth heaves and death comes to call
All the waste - Cling to your lie
You are as sand and the wind blows
My disgust - A fever
To kill a thousand more
God's holy fuck
Canonized but of no use to me
Human shit, waste begone from my earth!!
Beast of earth devour!
Cleanse this world for those who deserve
I remain in my conviction
As the waste in sewer flows thru the promised land

I agree, I love Morbid Angel, especially Covenant.
Looking past the religious stuff, this song always painted like an actual person working in the sewage system for a major city
this song is about how disgusting organized religion is. the herd mentality of it all. awesome song.
I have to admit, I'm not a Morbid Angel fan, the vocals just seem silly to me, but the guitar playing is increadible. Trey has definitly 'been to the crossroads', if you get my drift...
The world's greatest guitarist (Trey) and drummer (Pete) in one band. Steve isnt the best bassist ever but his lyrics are great.
Tucker didn't have a thing to do with "Covenant." This is the genius of David Vincent, who truly is Morbid Angel. When he left, it went completely downhill. A song about Ceaser's Palace? Give me a freaking break.
haha idiot, "Ceaser's Palace" was written by David Vincent, off the MA album Domination, in which Vincent was still in the band. Get your facts straight before you let the crap roll out of your mouth, dipshit
better a song about caesar palace than another anti-christian song by Morbid angel
Caesar's palace was about the roman's I used to think it was about religion,Where the Slime Live is an anti christian song off that same album. Domination was my personal fav then Covenant after Vincent left they did go downhill,I just bought there new album only reason is because Vincent is back and i'm a Morbid Angel purist and only Vincent will do.Oh and to the planetarumvagatio if you don't like his anti religion themed songs than I really don't know why your listening to them
