(Woo)
Here come the Men in Black
(It's the MIBs, uh, here come the MIBs)
Here come the Men in Black (Men in Black)
They won't let you remember
Nah, nah, nah

The good guys dress in black, remember that
Just in case we ever face to face and make contact
The title held by me, MIB
Means what you think you saw, you did not see
So don't blink, B, what was there is now gone
Black suit with the black Ray-Bans on
Walk in shadow, move in silence
Guard against extra-terrestrial violence
But yo, we ain't on no government list
We straight don't exist, no names and no fingerprints
Saw somethin' strange? Watch your back
'Cause you never quite know where the MIBs is at
Uh, and

Here come the Men in Black (Men in Black)
Galaxy defenders (oh, oh, oh)
Here come the Men in Black (Men in Black)
They won't let you remember (won't let you remember)

Uh-uh, uh-uh, now
From the deepest of the darkest of night
On the horizon, bright light enters sight, tight
Cameras zoom on the impendin' doom
But then like, "Boom," black suits fill the room up
With the quickness, talk with the witnesses
Hypnotizer, neuralyzer
Vivid memories turn to fantasies
Ain't no MIBs, can I please?
Do what we say, that's the way we kick it
Yah mean? Or see the Noisy Cricket get wicked on you
We're your first, last and only line of defense
Against the worst scum of the universe
So don't fear us, cheer us
If you ever get near us, don't jeer us, we're the fearless
MIBs, freezin' up all the flack
(What's that stand for?) Men in Black

Uh, and
(The Men in Black)
Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh
(The Men in Black)
Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh

Let me see you just bounce it with me, just bounce with me (bounce with me)
Just bounce it with me, c'mon
Let me see you just slide with me, just slide with me (slide, slide, slide, slide)
Just slide with me, c'mon
Let me see you take a walk with me, just walk it with me (walk with me)
Take a walk with me, c'mon
And make your neck work
Now freeze (uh-huh, oh)

Here come the Men in Black (Men in Black)
Galaxy defenders (ooh, ooh, ooh)
Here come the Men in Black (Men in Black)
They won't let you remember (no, no)

Alright check it, let me tell you this in closin'
I know we might seem imposin'
But trust me, if we ever show in your section
Believe me, it's for your own protection
'Cause we see things that you need not see
And we be places that you need not be
So go witcha life, forget that Roswell crap
Show love to the black suit, 'cause that's the Men in
That's the Men in

Here come the Men in Black (here they come)
Galaxy defenders (galaxy defenders)
Here come the Men in Black (oh, here they come)
They won't let you remember (won't let you remember)
Here come the Men in Black (oh, here they come)
Galaxy defenders (ooh, ooh, ooh)
Here come the Men in Black
They won't let you remember

I think the main likeable thing for me about Will Smith's material is the fact that it is inoffensive fun, unlike these other rappers who take themselves so seriously in their wishes to destroy the world.

Auntie Brag Story Time! My sister, about the time the movie, "Men in Black", came out on video, HAD to get it for my dear 3-yr-old nephew, Caleb, just so he could see his favorite character, the Alien Cockroach, over and Over...ugh. Well, dear sister also noticed dear nephew starting a very disturbing trend of running around going, "Oh sht! Oh sht! Oh sht!" all the sudden. It didn't take her long to figure out where he learned that colorful rant: Will Smith's own "Men in Black" character! He played Nervous Nelly to Tommy Lee Jones' role as man-in-black, so when ol' Will Smith started in with his Scared in His Own Shorts routine (all through that movie!), it featured that Magic Phrase, "Oh sht!..." You bet Dear Sister swiftly deleted Dear Nephew's copy of "Men in Black" from his video collection, then as calmly as humanly possible for a totally freaked-out Mommy, explained to Caleb that only Grown-Ups just in movies called "Men in Black" could only say Those Bad Bad Words, not little boys named Caleb in Real Life! Hey it worked for us, thank God--he stopped chanting That Phrase right away (whew!). Now how could I make up a story THAT good, LOL???

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Cajun Girl

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
