She motioned to me
That she wanted to leave
And go somewhere warm
Where we'd be alone
I do not know what's going on
But I'm guessing it's an all night thing
Yeah, it's an all night thing

If it's an all night thing
Nobody is gonna make it end
And if it don't begin
Don't worry that I'll take offense
And if it's an all night thing
And we fall like a tear falling to the ground
I'll never come around
And you'll never hear a word from me
If it's an all night thing

I walked along, feeling at ease
And falling like rain uh uh
Into her scheme
She won't let on what that will be
Yeah but I'm guessing
Ooh, it's an all night thing
Yeah, it's an all night thing

If it's an all night thing
Nobody is gonna make it end
And if it don't begin
Don't worry that I'll take offense
Yeah and if it's an all night thing
And we fall like a tear falling to the ground
I'll never come around
And you'll never hear a word from me
If it's an all night thing
Yeah, it's an all night thing
Ooh, it's an all night thing
Yeah, it's an all night thing
Mmm

    Song Fact

@fadedradio - no she wasn't. she was a fake. Pro False IDOL by Jerry Cantrell for his solo project was about the same cunt & her actions. she killed Andrew Patrick Wood - turns out he was Christ. Christ is the Heroine, and that was Andy. The woman who killed Andy Wood - his evil ex-fiancee, Xana La Fuente aka Roseana Trujillo (thats her real name) - is an evil piece of witchcraft shit compared to Andy, who was ACTUALLY GOD, not to mention the best performer ever. Look into this shit. She did it to support a fucked up rise of Satanism, and lied to both Andy & Chris about her intentions, her actions and who she was . Satanism, like Communism, could be considered at one point a decent idea on paper buuuuuutttt nope it descended the whole universe. Seriously. This all comes from the fucked up Satanic Panic-era Baptism of Zeena LaVey under Anton LaVey's ick idea. Smart and interesting experiment, but - Xana swindled both Chris and Andy. Bad shit. Report her. She swindled Andy into taking WAY too much of the drug that he never should have been on anyway but she was the problem that really kicked in his habit, but she kept spelling him and spelling him and in this case - again, she tricked him into taking more than usual then locked him in the garage in a running vehicle and turned on the exhaust then locked the car doors and the garage door. He looked in the rearviewmirror at himself terrified, said//expressed "uh oh...FUCK..um.....what....now? nooooo please no please...." and let's hope that Get Born Again by Alice in Chains actually happened & Andy is out there somewhere living it up in his next reincarnate mortal life existence as the ultimate starseed =]. I happen to know that she killed him for a fact. Report this woman to the cops or the government or the CIA - she put him in a coma all because he kissed her sister after she continually cheated on him and treated him like shit the whole time and she thought Cornell was hotter than someone who really loved her that she found out was actually Christ, and put the ultimate love spell on Cornell by plotting Andy's death. Chris Cornell was with Susan Silver and loved her WAY more - but this evil ugly woman couldn't break his disinterest in her so she thought this ew ugly love spell blasphemous murder would help. Cornell hated her for it every day after until his death that she probably spelled too because he wouldn't come back and tried to run away the rest of his mortal life existence and wouldn't marry her and ran and ran and then he toured like 7ish locations for his Temple of the Dog Tour in late 2016 ish and killed himself right after revisiting that pain. her fucking swindling gypsy witchcraft lies to both him and Andy (who, I think deep down he actually loved more) - pushed him over the edge. Tell the government. I try my best to report it, and more people should be doing the same thing. Wikipedia is wrong, it was muder and she did it. Andy was perfect and Cornell was the voice of an era and this woman was NOT the Heroine.....Andy was/is. =] She was a ruiner, pay no attention and get this bitch. Seriously, look into it. She basically killed Cornell and Andy when it really comes down to it. REPORT HER SHES STILL ALIVE BUT HER UNCLE WORKS ON THE SANTA FE POLICE DEPT WHERE I THINK SHE CURRENTLY LIVES. IF YOU CARE ABOUT CORNELL OR ANDY OR TEMPLE OF THE DOG AND ARE BRAVE - DUDE LOOK INTO ALL OF THIS AND REPORT IT. ITS TRUE. SHE'S STILL NOT IN JAIL. I'd love to see her locked up, help would be great.

[Edit: oof, wrong song title mention]

So this has been.my favorite song of OTEP's since it came out in 2004, and I always thought it was a song about a child's narrative of suffering in an abusive Christian home. But now that I am revisiting the lyrics, I am seeing something totally new. This song could be gospel of John but from the perspective of Jesus. Jesus was NOT having a good time up to and during the crucifixion. Everyone in the known world at the time looked to him with fear, admiration or disgust and he was constantly being asked questions. He spoke in "verses, prophesies and curses". He had made an enemy of the state, and believed the world was increasingly wicked and fallen from grace, or that he was in the "mouth of madness". The spine of atlas is the structure that allows the titan to hold the world up. Jesus challenged the state and in doing so became a celebrated resistance figure. It also made him public enemy #1. All of this happened simply because he was doing his thing, not because of any agenda he had or strategy. And then he gets scourged (storm of thorns) There are some plot holes here but I think it's an interesting interpretation.

This song is def a twin to "Unfair" (a song she has been quoted as saying is about falling in love with someone who is already in a relationship) so it is presumably about the same person. Given the references to buying an apartment and not being able to see her love interest "after tonight," it's most likely that she's moving away and she'll "wait a day to break the bad news" (i.e. notifying him that she's leaving once she's already gone). And, of course, the fact that she sees in him a fellow "idealist" and "dreamer" (terms commonly given to people with the INFP personality on the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)) portends that she'll always be left wondering if they would've been perfect together.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
