Obviously about Lucifer but I feel like this song (and that general story) can be applicable to other aspects of life. Feeling cast out for no good reason. Missing what you can no longer have despite having something else. It's a good song to listen to when angry, I've found. You can really sympathise with Satan XD
This is clearly about the angel Lucifer retelling his experience of being cast out of God's grace. He is wallowing in contempt and anger, and he is worth nothing. But he doesn't know what he is- he has the same emotions humans have- contempt, anger, jealousy, but he isn't a human, nor is he an angel. this one seems to fit in with "feathery wings" quite nicely... more of a dark side to it, if you will...
Picture it as singing it to humanity, saying he enjoys ruling hell but at the same time is jealous of us being God's new favorite.

This song seems to be about Lucifer. I just can't figure the last part out (don't touch me)... Doesn't seem to make sense. -
