Diary Of A Madman Lyrics

Screaming, at the window
Watch me die, another day
Hopeless, situation
Endless price, I have to pay
Sanity now it's beyond me
There's no choice

Diary of a madman
Walk the line, again today
Entries of confusion
Dear diary, I'm here to stay

Manic depression befriends me
Hear his voice
Sanity now it's beyond me
There's no choice

A sickened mind and spirit
The mirror tells me lies
Could I mistake myself for someone
Who lives behind my eyes
Will he escape my soul
Or will he set me free
Is he trying to get out
or trying to intervene

Voices in the darkness
Scream away my mental health
Can I ask a question
To help me save me from myself

Enemies fill up the pages
Are they me
Monday till sunday in stages
Set me free

The opening solo is just so beautiful and also tragic, and the arrangement with strings and also the blend of metal riffs is perfectly executed.I don't want to start my posts negatively, but the guitar in A Perfect Circle SUCKED ASS. The guitar insults that of the classical sound of the late Randy Rhoads, and most of that version scarcely resembles the original masterpiece.

The guitar in A perfect Circle could never beat out Randy Rhoads and its a shame to say so, Randy Rhoads was one of the best guitarists in the history of music and who ever plays guitar for APC isnt even in the top 1000 as far as I'm concerned.

i remember bob daisley saying something about how he wrote it about his first breakdown at age 15.

More great lyrics from Bob Daisley. Rumor has it that Ozzy could not get the timing in the verses, they had to walk him through it.

This song is not about Ozzy, nor has it anything to do with Alister Crowley. It is about Ozzy Osbourne bassist Bob Daisley and also the songwriter reflecting on his mental health issues while he was a teenager. For me, this is the pinnacle of heavy rock. What Randy did on this song is simply astonishing. Quite fitting that this was the last song on Randy’s last album. What a legacy to leave.
