Hell Lyrics

People listen attentively
I mean about future calamity
I used to think the idea was obsolete
Until I heard the old man stamping his feet
This is a place where eternally
Fire is applied to the body
Teeth are extruded and bones are ground
And baked into cakes which are passed around
In the afterlife
You could be headed for the serious strife
Now you make the scene all day
But tomorrow there'll be Hell to pay
Beauty, talent, fame, money, refinement , job skill and brain
And all the things you try to hide
Will be revealed on the other side.
Now the D and A and the M and the N and the A
And the T and the I-O-N
Loose your face
Loose your name
And get fitted for a suit of flames.

No, this song is much older than the movie.

This song is obviously about pancakes-the food of the devil. This is proven by the line "Teeth are extruded and bones are ground And baked into cakes which are passed around"

The cakes refered to there are the pancakes.

What is being said is that pancakes are all that will be served in 'hell', they will be made of peoples teeth and bones and there will be NO syrup. NONE. ZERO. ZIP.

And also that the dress code will be formal.

In the movie 'HELLBOY' pancakes were 'HELLBOYS' favorite food.

I wonder if theres a connection there?

Maybe he means to that idea in general, that pancakes are the devil's food.

yeah that is what I meant

I definetly was just saying that maybe it was further proof of another connection between hell & pancakes - I did know that this movie came out waaaayyyy after the song was written.

However; Hellboy was created in 1994 (as a comic book) This song was released in 1997.
(I'm not saying the song & the movie have anything to do with each other )

Uhh.. Evil as pancakes may be, I don't think that's what the song is about. It's about how you can't cover any thing up in blazes.
