must there be such ignorance among you? your beliefs have been run into the ground. your methods made me run away. my only example, is your misinterpretation of the truth. how could a God of love, bring so much condemnation? i strive to glean the truth, from the fields of the self-righteous. if your love surpasses their understanding, show me to be your own. fill this heart with the wisdom that brings me to my knees. let me show them what Your true love is. from your hands, you rejected who you were (called to reach). taken away to the place of eternal seperation; the product of hate, from your hands

i think this song is about how everyone says god is so great and only makes great things happen and that god is filled with such a great love.. but how god lets so much hurt and pain happen .. he jsut wants to see what gods true love is

I think the song is about how so many people blame God for whats going wrong in the world today, but they continue in their own hate for others, and the problems are actually our own. We made them, but they still blame God. I think hopesfall is trying to show people that God can be a solution, while at the same time questioning God at the same time why the bad things happen. Or something like that.. it's a good song regardless what I think.

I think that is it is a song about how a person questions god. They deeply desire to gain understanding about god and the way he works and thinks, but they are... barricaded by their own limited thinking. this person strives to be all that a christain should be.. but if he can't explain what a christain should be then how can he be whatever it is. he's just confused is all.

this song is about the church. its about being persecuted among believers. when we go to church we should be uplifted not destoyed and torn apart, which is the way a lot of the churchs are today. "the product of hate, from your hand." that is what has become of him due to the church but he wants to see Christ's true love.

no wait... I think now that I read it again it is about the church, "must there be so much ingnorance among you? your beliefs have been run into the ground, your methods made me run away." definitely sum up how the church in the midst of it's journey in being holy and all has so much that they subconciously do to lift themselves up, mix up things that God says, Condemn others etc. and maybe they should take a look at themselves and see how they really are, preaching God's love while condemning so many others. "i strive to glean the truth from the fields of the self righteous" is a great picture of how he wants to find out about God himself and not hear "what God is telling him" through the mouth of someone in a higher position in the church and in all he just wants to experience the true love of God.... Amazing song

i think that he is trying to say that he wishes he could show everyone the happiness he has found in god and that they may take part in it as well. "fill this heart with the wisdom that brings me to my knees. let me show them what Your true love is"

"how could a God of love, bring so much condemnation?"

It's obviously about Catholics being the group of hateful, judgemental fucks that they are.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
