I need your love
I need your love
I need your love
I need your love
I need your love
I need your love
I need your love
I need your love
I need your love
I need your love

You, give me light
So tonight, take me there
I feel your sun
Start to glow and I know it
Let me show you that
I want your love
I need your touch
For the rest of our time together
Baby, come fly with me, eternally
You and me
We were meant to be

Yeah, hey
Alright (right now)
We'll spend the night together
Wake up and live forever
Yeah, hey
Alright (right now)
We'll spend the night together
Wake up and live forever

Yeah, hey
Ooh-hoo-hoo
It's alright now

I see your eyes
Hold the key, to my paradise
Summer in your smile
Well it makes me feel, so real
You tell me things
And my heart sings to the world
From islands in the sky
Take my hand
As one we will stand
You know it's now or never
To say hello to forever

Yeah, hey
Alright (right now)
We'll spend the night together
Wake up and live forever
Yeah, hey
Alright (right now)
We'll spend the night together
Wake up and live forever
Yeah, hey
Alright (right now)
We'll spend the night together
Wake up and live forever
Yeah, hey
Alright (right now)
We'll spend the night together
Wake up and live forever
Yeah, hey

I need your touch
I want your love so much (ooh)
I need your touch and
I want your love, so much
I really need it
Oh now, tonight
We'll spend the night together
Wake up and live forever

Yeah, hey
Alright (right now)
We'll spend the night together
Wake up and live forever
Yeah, hey
Alright (right now)
We'll spend the night together
Wake up and live forever
Yeah, hey
Alright (right now)
We'll spend the night together
Wake up and live forever

I think this song is about the feeling that when your in love it feels like whenever you come into contact (ahem) witht that person it can feel like you could fly/live forever and how you wanna tell just everyone how good it is. I get this feelign with my man, purr (big up to brian!) luving it ana

A friend of mine thought some of the lyrics in the song sound quite vampirish:

"We'll spend the night together, wake up and live forever... Come fly with me, eternally, You and me..."

However, the lines: "You give me light So tonight take me there I feel your sun Start to glow" ...kinda put that theory to rest don't they!

I know, I know, I'm a little bit late to the comments on this song. I've always taken this song a little differently...maybe it's because I got into this album long before I was happily married with two wonderful kids, but it always seemed more like a song about picking someone up at a club.

Smooth talking the girl into coming home with him. "Aw yeah, alright (right now) we'll spend the night together, wake up and live forever.".

Knowing the type of person Jay Kay was (party animal, lover of women) it just always seemed obvious the meaning of this song was about club lust.

    My Interpretation

There's something about this song... It makes me not want to give up on my current relationship and still hold on to love. Because like what the title of this song says, everything will be "alright". Fights and arguments always happen and the high-strung emotions attached to these moments often die down overnight whereupon when you wake up in the morning after spending the night together with that person, everything is "alright" after all. You do live forever.

I swear. Jay is a genius sometimes.

I think it's about a guy that wasn't ready for a commintmenr until this woman came in and then he realizes that he is in love with her and that isn't that bad and he wants to spend the rest of his live with her.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
