Really transcendentalist in themes. Finding a glow after being lost for so long, hearkens to finding one's individualism after intense searching. The Microphones in general just really connect with transcendentalist themes I think.
if beauty can be heard, then it can be heard in this song. the lyrics are amazing. also amazing is how the word "glow" is faded into the instuments before the long instrumental part so that really it sounds like he's saying the word "glow" for two or three minutes!! and i still notice new things everytime i listen to it. brilliant & beautiful.

This song has such deep meaning and such beautiful lyrics. Thought I may not have interpreted it exactly as it was intended, but I interpreted in a way that it became very identifiable with.

this song is just too beautiful. its the only song that has ever made me cry, and i wasn't sad at all. I think its about love: first he is lost but for a distant glow, then the female voice that is "the glow" speaks to him, and he begins to glow too. then they go swimming.
I just love the way he sings about sinking and then the instrumentals start to get muffled, it sounds exactly like they're going underwater.
