I am quite certain that Laetitia is not saying "ooh-wah ooh-wah ooh-wah ooh-wah-oh-way" but "I-e-I-e-I-e-I'll wait." As in she's so much looking forward to the day when... All the things she's singing about in the song will happen!... that she's willing to wait for that day.
Love this song, such layered sounds, so much warmth in the chord progression in the chorus, it lifts my heart, as does the optimism that "Our sense will wake up!"
