Dance D'amour Lyrics
Your lips shine like Paris
Mon amour
A toi toujours
Ma cherie
But your tears bring a little London for me
Berlin can never be so cold as you reach
Dance with me into the night
To the serious moonlight
Brighter than the stars above you shine
And the loving feels alright
Give me the moment that the world won’t need
Ce soir
Tu es a moi
Ma cherie
But your fears ain’t no strangers for me
Morning can never be so cold as you leave
Dance with me into the night
To the serious moonlight
Brighter than the stars above you shine
And the loving feels alright
Mon amour
A toi toujours
Ma cherie
But your tears bring a little London for me
Berlin can never be so cold as you reach
To the serious moonlight
Brighter than the stars above you shine
And the loving feels alright
Ce soir
Tu es a moi
Ma cherie
But your fears ain’t no strangers for me
Morning can never be so cold as you leave
To the serious moonlight
Brighter than the stars above you shine
And the loving feels alright

I really like this song. The french element makes it so.. romantic.
Ah Dance of Love-this song is amazing...
Personally, I think that they could of extended the french in this song and I would probably like it a lot more. Yes, the french gives it a very romantic element IF you aren't already a longtime french speaker. The content is very romantic. I've slow-danced to this ^^!
perfect for gothic sex
I'm only in French I, so my knowledge is minimal, but since all of the other possessional phrases [what are they called again?] are feminine, thus we can assume the song is about a female, shouldn't he say "ma amour" [or whatever that would be. It looks like something they would contract.] instead of mon amour? Unless he was talking about his love not as a person.. =\ Or maybe it's right and I don't know what I'm talking about.
On a completely different note. Yeah, this song kicks ass. =D
xxx_Rotten, i'll explain. yes you are right, the possessive pronoun for feminin is "ma". but as the next word begins with "a" , (amour), then you have to use "mon", because it sounds bad and repetitive to say mA Amour. so it goes mon amour instead ;)
Back to my "It looks like something they would contract".. it wouldn't be m'amour? I can understand how mon amour sounds better in the song, I'm just saying, grammatically, it's weird.

Brilliant song ,my personal favourite of the Helsinki Vampires. Very romantic, and yes, the French element makes it even more so. Thanks for translating the French part TrentNIN. Coming from South Africa, I don't know shit about French. This band is one of the most under-rated bands out there. It's just a shame so few people know about them. When people ask me what bands I listen to, they'll follow me as far as Pantera, Iron Maiden, Guns n Roses, AC/DC and Motley Crue and Metallica is concerned. But as soon as I mention HIM or The 69 Eyes, they lose me. These 2 bands deserve more credit (although HIM is much more known than the Helsinki Vampires). My compliments to Archzie, Bazie, Jussi 69, Jyrki 69 and Timo-Timo. Fantastic music
