Do you like concrete agony Kreuzberg on Saturday?
Tell me baby what you need
There's the Zoo alive as the city sleeps tonight
Eternal divided dream

Going down to Potsdamer singing Checkpoint Charlie blues
The 70's brought Bowie baby
Do what you do

You gotta feel Berlin
Baby yeah
You gotta feel Berlin
Baby yeah
You gotta feel Berlin

Do you like punk rock mutiny rock 'n' roll depravity?
Tell me baby what you need
Boys keep swinging Wild At Heart until the morning
Let this baby set you free

Going down to Potsdamer singing Checkpoint Charlie blues
The 70's brought Bowie baby
Do what you do

You gotta feel Berlin
Baby yeah
You gotta feel Berlin
Baby yeah

Just life that's what it is
Don't be afraid of an angel's kiss
Just life that's what it is
Don't be afraid of
A criminal kiss

"Do you like concrete agony Kreuzberg on Saturday" Kreuzberg is one of the most well known of all the boroughs in Berlin.

"Going down to Potsdamer singing Checkpoint Charlie blues"

Potsdam itself is a city in Germany and there is also a Potsdam Platz (Potsdam Square) in Berlin.

Checkpoint Charlie was one of the gates of the Berlin Wall during the Cold Wall and was located in Berlin.

"The 70s brought Bowie baby" This is most surely a reference to David Bowie.

"Boys keep swinging Wild At Heart until the morning" Wild At Heart is a film directed by David Lynch. This too is possibly a reference to the film.

This song is about the actual city of Berlin and various historical events that occured there.

"There's the Zoo alive as the city sleeps tonight " Is refering to the bombing of Berlin during the second World War, when one of the bombs fell on the Berlin Zoo and set it on fire in the night.

"Eternal divided dream" Refers to the crushed dreams of those living in East Berlin during the Soviet occupation and the literal division of the city during the Cold War.

"Just life that's what it is Don't be afraid of an angel's kiss Just life that's what it is Don't be afraid of A criminal kiss" This basically states that this is only life and there is nothing to be done about it, so you must not be afraid, of either salvation (angel's kiss) or damnation (crminal kiss).

The concept of "feeling Berlin" or "Feel Berlin" is possibly the idea of having sympathy for the city and the people in it who have been through so much, or possibly getting the vibe of the city.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
