I went outside to catch the snow
Ice is raining
Ice is raining
Ice is raining
Ice is raining
I went outside to catch the snow
How far will I go to protect my hide?
Will I go protect my hide?
I went outside to catch the snow
Ice is raining
Ice is raining
Ice is raining
Ice is raining
I went outside to catch the snow
Will I go protect my hide?
Will I go protect my hide?
As I seal myself inside
The zippers hits me
As I stumble from my house
I reach down for the sled
And as I start to shape my weapon
A cold one hits me!
I turn around and walk back home
Turn around and walk back home
I turn around and walk back home
Turn around and walk back home
Ice is raining
Ice is raining
Ice is raining
Will I go protect my hide?
Ice is raining
Ice is raining
Ice is raining
Will I go protect my hide?
Will I go protect my hide?
The zippers hits me
As I stumble from my house
I reach down for the sled
And as I start to shape my weapon
A cold one hits me!
Turn around and walk back home
I turn around and walk back home
Turn around and walk back home

The drum loop in this song is a sample from the Minutemen song "It's Expected I'm Gone." Hence the title "Hurley" -- George Hurley was the drummer for the Minutemen.
this is about a kid being hit by a snowball! how goofy! I love this band
Little interesting fact... When he says "Will i go protect my hide?" I dont think a lot of listeners quite understand what he means. Well in the British "langauge" a hide is actually a hidden shelter used to get a close view of wildfire. This song is just a really nostalgic little number about the guys childhood. Thumbs way up!
I love this song. But I think the lyrics are slightly different.
As I seal myself inside, the zippers catch my skin, And as I waddle towards the doorway, A freezer hits me As I stumble from my house, I reach down for the sled, And as I start to shape my weapon A cold one hits me!
gooooooood
this just proves how awesome pinback is and how musicians can just sing about anything and get away with it being artistic. Ex."Yesterday I woke up sucking a lemon", thats a part of a radiohead song and yet, it still is very very good. Bravo
Uhh I totally agree with 28064212 and yes Radiohead is another good example and your Login name is from an awsome movie "Donnie Darko"
Awsome song possiple about childhood inocence in winter outside playing in the snow with some friends catching, snowflakes in their mouths' and having a snowball fight.
NO! None of Pinback's songs are about anyone from Lost, all the songs you're using as evidence came out before Lost ever aired. So not only is it impossible but if you would actually listen to the lyrics you'd see it has nothing to do with a television character who's stranded on an island AT ALL.
The song is pretty clearly about a snowball fight if you would just read what others have said/think about it/and then read the lyrics. And the third poster's comment about where the title comes is actually feasible, unlike yours. Please stop.
While it's true Lost began in 2004, the amount of similarities makes me quite suspect to either J.J. Abrams or some of the writers (possibly Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse) being Pinback fans. A lot of characters have Pinback names, and a lot of scenes in Lost seem like they were inspired directly from a song. I'm gonna go see Pinback tonight at a local brewery, perhaps I'll get a chance to ask them about what they think about this whole Lost/Pinback thing!

it's about Hurley, or Hugo from LOST, and so is the song Penelope and Rousseau
