Hier Kommt Alex Lyrics

In einer Welt, in der man nur noch lebt
Damit man taglich Roboten geht

Hey, hier kommt Alex!
Vorhang auf - fur seine Horrorschau
Hey, hier kommt Alex!

In ihrer gnadenlosen Wut

Hey, hier kommt Alex!
Vorhang auf fur seine Horrorschau
Hey, hier kommt Alex!
Vorhang auf - fur ein kleines bisschen Horrorschau

Zwanzig gegen einen
Bis das Blut zum Vorschein kommt
Ob mit Stocken oder Steinen
Irgendwann platzt jeder Kopf

Das nachste Opfer ist schon dran
Eenn ihr den lieben Gott noch fragt
"Warum hast do nichts getan
Nichts getan?"

Hey, hier kommt Alex!
Vorhang auf fur seine Horrorschau
Hey, hier kommt Alex!
Vorhang auf - fur ein kleines bisschen Horrorschau

Hey, hey, hey, hier kommt Alex!
Vorhang auf - fur ein kleines bisschen Horrorschau

Here's an attempt at a slightly more poetic, but far less exact English translation of the song.

In a world where the point of living Is to go roboting all your life The only excitement that is given Comes from the TV's lies.

Like in a clockwork, every word Is programmed, computerlike The only protest that is ever heard Is when the youths come strike.

When in the sky the sun has sunk The day starts for the Droogs They assemble and go out to hunt Marching in small groups.

Hey! Here comes Alex Curtain up - for his Horrorshow Hey! Here comes Alex Curtain up - for a little Horrorshow

Crusading against society And an establishment out of line Their religion is brutality And violence is divine.

Satisfaction is only down the path Of making victims hurt Nothing stops their endless wrath Nothing on this Earth.

Hey! Here comes Alex Curtain up - for his Horrorshow Hey! Here comes Alex Curtain up - for a little Horrorshow

Twenty versus one Until blood is spilt their way Perhaps by stick or else by stone Every head must burst some day.

The next victim is already slain While you're still calling out Were our prayers all in vain To turn this Earth around?

Hey! Here comes Alex Curtain up - for his Horrorshow Hey! Here comes Alex Curtain up - for a little Horrorshow

Hey hey hey! Here comes Alex Curtain up - for a little Horrorshow!

Alex is an allusion to the "Alex" from Clockwork Orange. You can see it on some verbs(roboten) and other words which apear in the movie(Droogs). Maybe someone can translate it, my english isn't that far.

Untelix is right, I found someone that managed to give a loose translation of the lyrics, and it is essentially about the movie "A Clockwork Orange"

Ich denke, es beschreibt ein mögliches Zukunftsszenario oder gar manche Aspekte der Gegenwart... aber die Vergleiche zu Clockwork Orange sind auch nicht schlecht

In a world where you only live to go roboting day for day the greatest excitement is the everyday-eve's tv-screen

Everyone lives like a Clockwork programmed like a computer There's no-one protesting against Only some teens are frustrated

When Sun sets at the Horizon the Day for the Droogs begins In small Gangs they gather going hunting together

well of course there is the russian part but that is only because anthony burgess(author of a Clockwork orange, which is a great book) is russian and half the book is in russian very hard to read for us non-russians

I have to say your translations are very well done but why don't you just stikck wit the english version Return of alex from Die toten hosen on the Love Peace & Money CD

@indeed good reason is because the song lyrics are quite different to what is in each song. so a translation of the original German is good
