Gutter Glitter Lyrics
IRIDESCENT EYES OF THE SEAHORSE RISE
TREASURES SHE LOVES OTHERS DESPISE
A SHOOTING STAR SHAN'T FALL VERY FAR
DIM FIREFLIES HELD IN GLASS JARS
APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS
DAZZLING DUST TOSSED IN WIND GUSTS
THE TRAP DOOR IS OPEN
THE WINDOW HALF CLOSED
THE TAPESTRY CURTAIN VIVACIOUSLY GROWS
LONDON BRIDGE DID FALL DOWN
MY FAIR LADY NEARLY DROWNED
WHAT IS THE REASON TO LOCK HER UP
WHEN ALREADY SHE HAD SUCH ROTTEN LUCK
BRACELETS OF SILVER ADORN MY WRISTS
CANDY KISSES FROM SUGARED LIPS
CANDY KISSES ME KISSES ME
LONDON BRIDGE DID FALL DOWN
MY FAIR LADY NEARLY DROWNED
LONDON BRIDGE DID FALL DOWN
MY FAIR LADY NEARLY DROWNED
LONDON BRIDGE IS FALLING DOWN,
FALLING DOWN, FALLING DOWN
LONDON BRIDGE IS FALLING DOWN,
MY FAIR LADY
TREASURES SHE LOVES OTHERS DESPISE
A SHOOTING STAR SHAN'T FALL VERY FAR
DIM FIREFLIES HELD IN GLASS JARS
DAZZLING DUST TOSSED IN WIND GUSTS
THE TRAP DOOR IS OPEN
THE WINDOW HALF CLOSED
THE TAPESTRY CURTAIN VIVACIOUSLY GROWS
MY FAIR LADY NEARLY DROWNED
WHAT IS THE REASON TO LOCK HER UP
WHEN ALREADY SHE HAD SUCH ROTTEN LUCK
CANDY KISSES FROM SUGARED LIPS
CANDY KISSES ME KISSES ME
MY FAIR LADY NEARLY DROWNED
LONDON BRIDGE DID FALL DOWN
MY FAIR LADY NEARLY DROWNED
FALLING DOWN, FALLING DOWN
LONDON BRIDGE IS FALLING DOWN,
MY FAIR LADY

Yeah this song is pretty jarring. Judging from some context clues (May bring flowers, trap door is open, window, curtain, silver bracelets adorn my wrists, kisses from sugared lips) I think this about a girl or woman who was captured and forced into sex slavery. If you didn't know, a lot of big time human trafficking groups take girls from raves and homes and pull them into a room with a trap door (literally) and then BOOM, gone from the world. I sincerely hope the writer of this song didn't have to go through this. But if she did, I'm grateful that she lived to sing about it.
@funk115366 I think your interpretation is not far from the truth... Tina Root, the vocalist of this band, frequently dressed like a dominatrix or a gothic lolita doll, both girls in fact were quite fond of pink/blue hair and doll imagery... All of this hinting at sadomasochistic relationship both possibly were involved in at some point during their lives.

They (or at least one of them) may have been victims of the MK Ultra mind control program. The handlers frequently make literal puppets out of the manipulated performers: http://www.whale.to/b/doll_imagery.html

Pink hair is...
Pink hair is actually a symbol of submission often used in mind control: https://exposingthematrix.blogspot.com/2012/04/pink-symbolism.html
You can still find photos of these girls in cages, or Tina wearing devil horns and leopard pattern catsuit (cat/kitten alter ego) on stage. All of this is definitely not just some random coincidence. I think she's been through a lot.
Here's a creepy promo photo from her later project, Small Halo. She has her mouth taped like a hostage or a slave, and the guy next to her looks like he has total control over her... https://postimg.cc/qNtK3W58

This song is really different than most you hear. The unforgettable melody definitely hooks you cause of the dark and gloomy tone. Its something like you'd hear in a horror movie. A spine chiller, no doubt.
I must say I love the bels at the begining, it give the whole song this really creepy childish overtone...and as far as the meaning goes....I really think only Tina Root knows, However y take on it is that the lyrics are really just a dark twist of a few popular childrens rhymes....or at least that the way it seems to me.
I think that the use of the child rhymes are a great touch, the way they warp things. Kinda like how one's view of the world warps as they get older, ne?
Ok, I've been doing a lot of thinking about this song and I think I've finally come up with an interpretation that I can live with :
Obviously the central theme the song is written around is the children's rhyme London Bridge Is Falling Down. Now the "my fair lady" actually refers to a Queen or Duchess of the time however I once read that some historians were speculating that it could have been a reference to a very old English tradition of burying a dead virgin where ever a bridge was being built to ensure its steadfastness and I think this is what the lyrics are playing on.
I mean you could technically burry any child at a place to insure your bridge will stand since they're most certainly virgins but for the sake of the song its more fun to imagine a virgin sacrifice instead - the "my fair lady". Also if you want to take it further and say that the duchess involved with its building and ordering of its construction is the one they're talking about sacrificing it would make sense since before the construction of the bridge taxed heavily on the well being of many a family at time. Or you could have a woman who was going to be sacrificed and was afforded a bit of luxury until her time was up.
The begining sounds frighteningly like the music in one of the castles in the Legend of Zelda Link game.
