Wrong Impression

jassss, you are right. He's actually putting up walls. She is trying to make a connection with him and from what she's singing about.. it does seem like he is interested but scared.. or he's confused about it. It seems she likes him and she's just waiting for him to ask her for something more...

Not exactly sure on this one, but it seems to be along the lines of her being more into a relationship than him, and him putting the barriers up to it developing into something more.

what does it mean?? i don't think she's the one putting the walls up. i think he is. and i think maybe she's leaving him but she still loves him ad she doesn't want him to think otherwise. like it's not me it's you kind of thing. but i don't know...

Natalie is probably one of the best pop singers out there. Too bad she's not as famous as, say, Miley Cyrus (shudder).

I just heard this song today and i loved it ...probably because i can relate to it a lot =/ I think it means that they were in a complicated relationship...I think they were friends but never made it to something more because he never let her in and put up walls..." Haven't you wondered What we could've been If you'd only let me in"..they both love each other that's why she repeats it and throughout the chorus she's reassuring him that she still does and will always love him ..that's where the chorus comes in. and in the beginning it seems she probably waited a long time for him to come around because she says "Haven't you wondered Why I'm always alone When you're in my dreams" i think she was tired of waiting so she decided to move on...the part where it goes "Haven't you wondered Why you're finding it hard Just looking at me" makes me think that maybe she is breaking off their friendship..because she needs a break from him and it hurts her but she doesn't want to leave a wrong impression by letting him think she doesn't care..because she does. she just feels that it's important for them to part.... well that's my opinion of the song..and i see it from this point of view because I'm in the same type of situation right now...

You know there are rumours flying around that Chris Martin of Coldplay actualy asked her out. I do not know if this is true or not, however if it is, then this would be the perfect song explaining that relationship. I agree with Posh Queen it's about Natalie ending the relationship because she needs a break from all the walls he's putting up against it, but she wants him to know that she'll always love him and that it was never her intention to lead him in the wrong direction, if that's what he felt she was doing.
