I do not know if this is true or not, however if it is, then this would be the perfect song explaining that relationship. I agree with Posh Queen it's about Natalie ending the relationship because she needs a break from all the walls he's putting up against it, but she wants him to know that she'll always love him and that it was never her intention to lead him in the wrong direction, if that's what he felt she was doing.
