Save Me Lyrics
There's a lot you don't know.
There's a lot you don't know.
And there's a lot I can't tell.
Would you think I'm crazy
If you knew me that well?
Cause there's a lot you don't know
But you say you won't go and I'd like to believe you.
But I know there's no one left to save me.
(I am the only one.)
There's no one left to save me.
(I am the only one.)
There's no one left to save me.
Is it all in my head
Or somehow is it truth?
Is it something I said?
I can offer no proof.
Cause there's a lot you don't know
But you say you won't go and I'd like to believe you.
But I know there's no one left to save me.
(I am the only one.)
There's no one left to save me.
(I am the only one.)
There's no one left to save me.
Yeah there's a lot you don't know
But you say you won't go and I'd like to beleive you.
And I know but you say you won't go
And I'd like to believe you.
But I know there's no one left to save me.
(I am the only one.)
There's no one left to save me.
(I am the only one.)
There's no one left to save me.
And there's a lot I can't tell.
Would you think I'm crazy
If you knew me that well?
But you say you won't go and I'd like to believe you.

I like this song because it's very self-pitying but also very strong. The girl feels lonely and she doesn't feel she can tell him everything and because of that she thinks no one can help her.
i think this song is about a girl whos afraid to tell her someone somethings that shes done that she regrets because shes sure if he finds out hes going to leave.
i love this song, i first heard it on roswell and i love it.
Does anyone have any ideas about the vocal countermelody that starts at 3:13 (best guess below)? For me, it makes the song more interesting, but I'm really sure how it affects what the girls are trying to say. Maybe it's just a studio afterthough.
He said to close my eyes What do you want to be You knew it wasn't right I feel it leaving me
And if you wanted to We could have everything The thing I wouldn't do Hold you inside of me
I needed to believe I wanted you to see A simple thing can be so into darkness
Just want a simple life Just to be some guy's wife I had to break these thoughts Love overtaking me
He said to close my eyes What do you want to be You knew it wasn't right I feel it leaving me
There's a countermelody? I don't have that on my copy. Where'd you get yours? o_o
Anyway, I love this song to death. I can deff relate to it so much, with friends, close people, and especially him.
The song's pretty obvious. Basically the fear of actually letting her whole self be exposed, her silliness, her worries, her dreams, her mistakes, her past - everything. She fears that putting her whole self out there, or letting that person deep enough would scare him away and leave her to fend for herself in a world full of judgmental people.
Yea, it's all about that kind of drama. I'd say more and cite or sow how I relate to it, but it's early morning and my mind's too groggy. (But then again, the song is pretty straightforward, right?)
dlyan, the countermelody version is on the "Light of the Moon" CD. It's also on a 3 song sampler.
