Well in an interview cat said " this song is about how sometimes you fall in love with someone and for some reason their resisting you, and kind of all the pain that comes with that and sometimes youll have to go through lengthly measures and write a magic spell to get them." casting a spell to capture a lover. pure genius.

It's very surreal and 'fairy tale-ish'.....'Pricking your finger on a spinning wheel' reminds me of Rumpelstiltskin.....'Waking someone with a kiss' like 'sleeping beauty'....I think the girl wants to save him in the way you wanna 'be and do anything' for your lover when you're infatuated.....She wants him to 'wake' up to their LOVE.

yeah....so....i think the song is about a girl who is 'infatuated' with a guy and wants him to be hers....I get the feeling he's resisting her cause, he's maybe not comfortable with expressing himself the way she is....The 'fairytale' tone to the song i think is because she's madly in love......and when you're in love the way she is...you kinda get all 'sappy' and 'poetic' and turn into a Disney character
