Gone again she said
Heading for the longest road
One too many times
He's beat'n you down to the bone

So you sail away
Into the unknown
Stay away he said
Dont ever come back home
Cry away
The days that last so long
All alone
You stay away
Stay away

You can find the pain
That he left inside your heart
Fallen in the rain
Your whole life has fallen apart

So you sail away
Into the unknown
Stay away he said
Dont ever come back home
Cry away
The days that last so long
All alone
You stay away

Alone she cries
Blues and hate inside
No love
No life
Without that loser who once said
Here's your kiss goodbye

See this is real
But she doesnt feel
Lonely hearts, shattered dreams
There's nothing better in this place
Nothing but memories in your mind

Sail away
Into the unknown
Stay away he said
Dont ever come back home
Cry away
The days that last so long
All alone
You stay away

Alone she cries
Blues and hate inside
New love
New life
Without that loser who once said
Here's your kiss goodbye

Alone she cries
Blues and hate inside
New love
New life
Without that loser who once said
Here's your kiss goodbye

What the fuck?! I agree, Rufio is a great band, but if they were to go on MTV for everyone to see, well, everyone includes teenyboppers, and that's pretty self-explanatory.

fuck mtv. the last thing i wanna see is that tool carson daly introducing a rufio video. these guys are pretty bad ass and they don't need a million worthless wastes of skin singing along to the new "single." fuck pop-culture in its entirety... especially sum41... holy GOD they suck

I agree, fuck mtv, Rufio rocks. But I don't get the part of this song where it says he beats her to the bone. Could some one explain, por favor.

I SAY FUCK MTV, RUFIO IS FUCKING AWSOME example why MTV Sucks, i like NFG and Blink but they're shows suck because of all the teeny-bop wanna be punk rock ankle biters who's parents may be at the damn shows, it's just ridiculous, i just loved how blink at their last show had the big flamimg FUCK sign towards the end of the show, but no matter what you'll probably have those fucking kids at most shows for one reason or another but if they went MTV it'd be a lot worse

The reason radio and MTV suck is because the good bands dont wanna be on it. And they dont wanna be on it cuz it sucks. A paradox. Also, why not share the music? Not that I watch MTV or the radio. But whatever.

I think the beatin down to the bone, is part of the song, saying how this asshole has been treating, beats her and stuff, then leaves her. Basiocally bout those girls who go and abusive relationships and don't want to leave cause they feel like they can't do any better.

agreed, its about a girl who is being abused, and then when she's by herself she cries, until she finally builds up enough courage to just get up and walk away...

I'm fully into Rufio & i totally understand why some of you don't want them to get on MTV b/c of the whole, they'll become a fad kind of band, but, then again it would be nice for Rufio to get on a big channel like that b/c of they $ they might want/need. After a while if they don't get a little more notice, then from kick ass fan's like us, then there're record lable might drop them, & we'll ALL be fucked.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
