I think it's about the Apocalypse too. I like reading about different cultures stories about the Apicalypse, like Ragnorok from pagan Northern Europe. A big war before the end then there are a new heavens and new earth. That's the only one I've read about besides the Bible but I like all that kind of lore and prophetic stuff from different cultures. Seems like a lot if heavy metal lyrics are like that, especially this band, Iron Maiden. I think these bands use to get a bad wrap people saying alll their lyrics are evil and they ar Satan worshippers, and they don't even know what they are singing about.
A standard role playing game plot. Hero goes, slays everyone, comes back and ownz the princess etc.
It's about how evil is gonna sink the World. Got great metafors in it. It's mostly about good versus Evil
Awesome song, Dokken's interpretation makes sense as it seems the song has a religious undertone -- usage of "Satan" and "Lucifer" for instance.
Oh... It's "and the dwarfs of falseness" and not "and they call your voicemail" :P
Lots of religious contexts in this song I feel ... could it perhaps be about Jesus?? (The Keeper of the Seven Keys??)
Or is it simply about mankinds battle with "evil" through the ages??
Michael Weikath who wrote this song told the reporter in the swedish television show Rundgång that the song is about Jesus Christ and that is so clear if you just get into the story
Awesome song! But I kept wondering what happened to the sixth key. Someone please enlighten me.
This song, although full of metaphors, and regardless of how much it might bother a lot of tough guys out there, is about Jesus.
"Our only hope is your victory, kill that Satan who won't let us be."
Etc, etc.
I bet I just ruined that song for a lot of ignorant bastards out there.
