Wormboy Lyrics

when will realize you're already there?
so watered down-your feelings have turned to mud.
"love everybody" is destroying the value of
all hate has got me nowhere
I know I'm slipping, I know I'm slipping, I know I'm slipping away
oh no, it is everything they said it was
oh no, I am everything they said I was
when you you get to heaven you will wish you you're in hell
when will you realize, you're already here
you'll think us now that you have crossed over
don't pick the scabs or you will never heal
the world shudders as the worm gets its wings
(chorus)
then I got my wings and I never even knew it
when I was a worm, thought I wouldn't get through it...

the reason that it isnt that great is because it's the song that Daisy Burkowitz had most musical influence over. he was a shit song writer.

it's not actualy the turning point in the story, nor is it insanity, insanity has no baring in the story.

the turning point is actualy kinderfeld. read the lyrics while listening and imagine the antichrist taking over your boddy.

this song is the worm being tempted by the antichrist who is represented as a seporate being or spirit. realising that the shit his teachers tell him about the evil sinners life is true, he's both excited and scared because he's not sure if he wants it. he's beggining his sinfull life.

mister superstar is his thoughts leading up to desiding to sin more.

angel with the scabbed wings is a mix of his thoughts and what his teachers tell him about satan.

then kinderfeld, the turning point. the fall from heaven.

and when you're suffering, know that i have betrayed you..

whats going on here. this song is fucking awesome. you have to be on psychoactive drugs to appreciate it though, its extremely cool when you hear the voices playing in your head and the sounds of a tape recorder fast forwarding, it can be quite stimulating to the tripping brain. plus, the fucked up riffing sounds cool and dissonant.

this is manson's statement on insanity. he's slipping away from human compassion, and feeling hate towards everything. he has made the metamorphasis from the worm stage. he is the anti-christ.

'i'm not a slave to a god that doesn't exist'

from druggiefreak420: "this song is fucking awesome. you have to be on psychoactive drugs to appreciate it though ..."

I must be pre-loaded with psychoactive drugs or somethin' because I don't do drugs and I adore this song madly. it's awesome.

and it's true--when we're all in Heaven, we'll all be wishing we were in Hell--if nothing else, then for a change of scenery.

also heavens supposed to be a place of only good things you will be bored and numb you will wish you could feel something even if its pain to let you know you exist

I assume that heaven doesn't just stay at one degree of 'good'- it gets better every day, so it's never boring.

I agree it's not the greatest song. But it ties into the rest of the album, and is probably the only song on the album that isn't all that good.

"when you you get to heaven you will wish you you're in hell"

Pretty good line.

He's saying that this place is actually hell, so that's why we wish we were in heaven. And when we get to heaven we'll wish we were in hell...

The Worm has gotten his wings, and suddenly he's not feelin what's around him so much anymore. Being in what he thought was heaven, has him wishing he was back in hell(pre-rockstar days).

Oh no, it is everything they said it was

The whole album is supposed to be about Lucifer himself. I imagne when he was thrown out of Heaven, he was a worm. The worm then turned into a snake, which lied to Adam and Eve. It eventually became Satan, the Prince of Darkness. This is probably what he is saying to people who will listen while he is in worm form, about to turn into a snake, or prehaps just babbling to himself.

This is a song of self-actualization. In terms of the album, it is the turning point of the album. So, it is very important to the album. This is the point of the story line when he realizes his power.
