Living Type Lyrics

And you'll be there to break my fall
To reassure my doubts and faults
And all your fables will ring true
They are the lies you lean on too

There's love on your breath
I'd better not say
About the blood on your hands

You hold the future in your hands
And sullen eyes soothe and command
A graceful mouth your deadly tool
Too bad the truth has fallen through

There's love on your breath
I'd better not say
About the blood on your hands

The incarnation of a Christ
Manipulation

There's love on your breath
I'd better not say
About the blood on your hands

The cross on your head
What does that say
About the blood on your hands

I'm fairly sure that this song is about Charles Manson. You look at lyrics like "A graceful mouth your deadly tool too bad the truth has fallen through" and you can pretty much tell its about a cult leader or someone who has a power over people. Anyway, its a great song!

I agree with daddio. And the final verse about 'the cross on your head' confirms enchanted_mud comment about Charles Manson.

Apparently everytime his parole comes up he carves a swastika in his forehead.

powderfinger have said that this song is about the Illuminati, and thats reflected in the video for this song.

especially significant is the ending, where bernard (lead singer) gets killed.. thats a pretty common theme in a series of their video clips that they did around this time..1996-99

pretty sad the band has split now tho :(
