even though Killswitch are some of the biggest assholes in the metal scene today, they still make some good music....but with weak lyrics.
whoa whoa whoa, KsE are far from assholes... I met them at one of their shows, and they were the nicest guys in the world. Just because they're highly spiritual doesn't make them assholes. Pass judgment on yourself before you pass it onto others... make sure you know what you yourself are before you start telling other people what they are.

I met them on tuesday before the bristol (UK) show and they were seriously nice guys - the guitarist adam was bloody hilarious...funny guy. Maybe they are 'spiritual' (though i'm fairly unsure what that means) they seemed pretty light-hearted in a good way. Great band, great guys...and a bloody incredible show.
I think this song is kind of saying, "Open your eyes, dont be a sheep, don't let people lead you, Be the person you want to be". I love the last line, "Step into the unblind reclaim your life".
this is the best band in the entire world. and was even better than that when jesse leach was on the front. this song is defintely about coming out and saying what you want to say, being your self, not being held back..and being an individual.
The pinch harmonics in this song make me orgasm.
