I love this! Manson is so about everything that sums up life..."heaven wasn't made for me" this is talking about living up to other people's expectations and how you're never going to be good enough in other people's eyes. "I wish that I was good enough"-death is absolutely everything, death is what we make it is the message this song gives out to me. just like life. We shouldn't have to change ourselves just to live up to other people's ideals. If we don't think we need help, then we don't need help. No-one should ever be forced towards change. Let us burn in hell if that's the future.

great song.. its clear Manson is trying to highlight the life of an ordinary human being. being a Goth by nature myself, i know wat manson is trying to convey. the last 2 verses of the song are probably related to a girl Manson wanted, but could not have because of wat he is.

I think this song is coming from a person who thinks they will never become anything in life, and theres only one person who tries to help this person, but he still can't amount to that person - "She put the seeds in me, plant this dying tree, she's a burning string, and I'm just the ashes".

I think this song is about how when everything in your life is fucked up, a relationship can never last, "dying tree" is the relationship, which is dooned from the first moment. the part about "Death is..." is about how he see's no good in anything in the world except her.
