Toys In The Attic Lyrics

In the attic lights
Voices scream, nothing seen
Real's a dream

Leaving the things that are real behind
Leaving the things that you love from mind
All of the things that you learned from fears
Nothing is left for the years

Voices scream
Nothing seen
Real's a dream

Toys, toys, toys
In the attic

Toys, toys, toys
In the attic

Toys, toys, toys
In the attic

Toys, toys, toys

In the attic lights
Voices scream, nothing seen
Real's the dream

Leaving the things that are real behind
Leaving the things that you love from mind
All of the things that you learned from fears
Nothing is left for the years

Voices scream
Nothing seen
Real's a dream

Toys, toys, toys
In the attic

Toys, toys, toys
In the attic

Toys, toys, toys
In the attic

Toys, toys, toys
In the attic

Toys, toys, toys
In the attic

Toys, toys, toys
In the attic

Toys, toys, toys
In the attic

Toys in the attic is an old expression about going crazy, and this song talks about a guy going bonkers.

This song is about the band's "state of mind". Check out the notes in the Live Bootleg album.

"toys in the attic" is a drug reference. When you're 8 miles high, you have an altered state of mind. "the attic" is your mind, when you're high you have "toys in your attic". things in your mind that you can play with.

watch this song live, tyler points to his head when he sings the chorus.

reals the dream

@dcfunk I am majorly against drugs but you are 100 percent right. They were young and experimenting been there done that. It all makes sense to me now. But I will say that drugs are no good and I’m not proud of that phase of my life. But I’m thankful that I made it out of those times free and clean.

Hello, I'm a first time caller. I tried to read the Guidelines. But I got lost in the binary data.

I agree with kfe2. "Toys in the attic" means a cluttered attic (or mind). Weather it was drug induced or not (probably was), it means the person is not in a rational state of mind.

The title track, "walk this way"....what a GREAT album! Head and shoulders above their later stuff.

I was reading the book "Arrowsmith" in high school when I saw "Aerosmith" spray painted on the men's room stall. I thought -this book is COOL!
