| Aerosmith – Monkey On My Back Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| love this song, funny how it still has relevance to the band today. I say, just for kicks why not use this as the show opener on the next tour. How appropriate that would be. | |
| Aerosmith – My Girl Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Great tune. I heard Joe Perry say somewhere that this song is an aerosmith tribute to all of the great bands of the sixties. It has the 60s-style groove to it for sure. This is what the Small Faces might have sounded like in 1990. | |

yep, great song. definitely about telling a girl to piss off. "your head's a one way street, and I've gotta go the other way." |

| Aerosmith – Mama Kin Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I'm with Stone Free, this song is about doing what you set out to do. There are quite a few "career" references in Aersmith's debut album (appropriately). "living out your fantasy", "stuff your mind with them dreams", both career agenda references. See "make it" as well. "Bald as an egg at 18, and working for your daddy's just a drag" is about their first roadie, mark lehman. the drag of working for a band that hasn't made it yet - and he was bald at 18. "it ain't easy living like a gypsy" is a reference to the rock and roll lifestyle. A different city each night, constant change, girls, drugs. Gypsy living. |

| Aerosmith – Make It Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
one of the most underappreciated aerosmith songs. it's them laying out their career agenda and ambitions. You can hear their hunger and drive to "make it". I can't think of another aerosmith song where you can literally "hear" their ambition. Such force. |

sneer at death, fear only loss of pride. enough said. |
|
| Aerosmith – Draw The Line Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
it's about sex and drugs. "living on the astral plane" is a reference to your mind being in a different state of reality. "feets on the ground and your head's going down the drain" = obvious drug reference. "pass me the vile", "draw the line", both drug references. Drawing lines of cocaine. And, the cover of the album is a line drawing of the group. Double entendres everywhere. "heads I win, tails you lose" is synonymous with "checkmate". You have a girl in a no-win situation, she must choose where to "draw the line" - sexually and drugs. |

| Aerosmith – Come Together Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| "come together" has sexual innuendos, like most aerosmith songs (even though it's a beatles tune). Cum together, get it? | |
| Aerosmith – Toys In The Attic Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
This song is about the band's "state of mind". Check out the notes in the Live Bootleg album. "toys in the attic" is a drug reference. When you're 8 miles high, you have an altered state of mind. "the attic" is your mind, when you're high you have "toys in your attic". things in your mind that you can play with. watch this song live, tyler points to his head when he sings the chorus. reals the dream |

| Aerosmith – Amazing Lyrics | 18 years ago |

Great song about addictions and recovery. But, why in the world would a song about getting sober have a video about cyber-sex. A total mismatch, even though it's such a strong song the video is totally irrelevant. |

| Aerosmith – No Surprize Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Best Aerosmith song ever. Period. A total rocker. This song has some of the best lines: "vaccinate your ass with a phonograph needle" or, better yet, "we're coppin from the local police". On tour, their bus got pulled over in west virginia, and the local cops gave them weed that they had just confiscated. Getting pot from the local fuzz, now that is something to write about! This song must be played at full volume. |
