Basically it's about choosing the dark,evil path in life and who wouldn't?There is nothing left in his heart except for war and hatred. At least that's what i got from the lyrics.

When you have nothing left in life, you turn onto the path of an outcast. With nobody to love or loving you, you fall into darkness/evil/hatred.
Its like, "all thats gone, now whats the point in still trying for everyone else? Or trying for myself? There is no point".

Well, I have always wondered.... there is one word (maybe up to three) which is always marked as one of the (?) in lyrics from this album I hear it in Hatebreeder, Warheart, Children of Bodom and few other songs from later albums. Three years I am searching for this word and nothing, so maybe you can help. It sounds like Dorieyes or something like that... Wonder if it is not from finnish or something. You can hear it in Children of Bodom at 3:46, Hatebreeder 1:30 etc...

this is the only song on Hatebreeder (in addition to maybe downfall) where Alexi's vocals and echo-effects actually suit the song.. he really ruins f.ex bed of razors.. well, my opinion anyway
