Dying Freedom Lyrics
As a withered hand grips tight through fear
The cold caressing rains
The reaping arms of silence, evolve for us to see
Overruled by a lack of patience it's untold
That's the secret that has made us
Constructive powers flow desire
The last intense degree
Scratching at the surface, for all of us to...
Gather round, the secrets that you know
And the speech that makes blood flow
Blame desire, you'll blame revenge
Standing at the solemn shores
Where blessed fools are born
Happiness is wasted, wasted blood and tears
Re-abuse infiltration it's untold
Raping life from other nations
The ritual explosive fires
Rewarding enemies
Shells of empty faces, crying to be free
Dying free, the spirits gather round
While the soul lays underground
Will the voices call again?
The cold caressing rains
The reaping arms of silence, evolve for us to see
That's the secret that has made us
The last intense degree
Scratching at the surface, for all of us to...
And the speech that makes blood flow
Blame desire, you'll blame revenge
Where blessed fools are born
Happiness is wasted, wasted blood and tears
Raping life from other nations
Rewarding enemies
Shells of empty faces, crying to be free
While the soul lays underground
Will the voices call again?

I always saw similarities between the lyrics in this song to the 'Death Gate Cycle' first book 'Dragon Wing''s plot. Specifically (to those of you who are familiar with it) - the part about the dwarves who live on the continent (Drevlin) and take care of a city sized machine called 'Kicksey-Winsey' - each of them doing their part without knowing the full purpose of the machine. It is only until latter books that we realize the machine is used for an integral part in the plot. So the part about 'Gather round the secrets that you know' and 'Raping life from Other nations', as well as 'The speech that makes blood flow', (the main dwarf character loves to make speeches), and the 'The reaping arms of silence' - the machine has so called hands. I realize that I'm almost certainly wrong in my interpretation, but it bears nice resemblances don't you think?
