Bad Religion

I don't like these theories, so I'm going to create my own. How about that religion no longer stands for what it was originally employed to do - lead us to better our personal lives and make the world a better place? Before laws could be enforced properly, religion stood in its place. There's no cops to shoot you if you kick down Mr. Brown's door, but God won't be very pleased with you when he catches up. Religion doesn't do that for many people now; it just gives them another excuse to feel superior to everyone else.

I don't think the words are different though. Besides, why would they change the words to give very different meanings? (Mr. Mime vs Mr. Mind/regurgitate vs too good to take)

Greg's voice wasn't to clear at the time so it is easy to mishear the words.

A belief is not a religion. A religion is an organizes communal society based upon a system of beliefs (that's not out of a dictionary, it's straight from my head). A belief is simply a belief, for example, a person could believe in god but not be religious.

Very true, I think the song is saying that the way religion is now is bad and so is are lack of direction so dont get caught up in all the shit.

there's no definate "religion" so to say. everyone sees it differently so when you think about it its' all beleifs. if there was one religion it would be the right one because everyone sees everyone else as being wrong, so they are all just beleifs

Thats because there's more than one version of it. Hell, there's 3 different versions just on the 80-85 cd.
