I think this song is about how he just feels...well, incomplete. Like there is something missing, and he can't quite pin down what it is, so he can only give all these examples of what it is like.

I think it's saying sex is human nature, and what could be purer than what we're born to do? Every species only goal is to propagate itself. That's as pure as it gets... Purer than spiritual nonsense.

I really like this song because it talks about how he feels in a serious and mature way. He manages to discuss his emotions without being all emo about it, plus, you gotta love the imagery, i mean "like bullets smashing glass in silent movie" is just plain cool
and it's also " I'm a promise in an unmailed letter " not " I'm a promise, and an unmailed letter ". And I Love this line in the song.
No no no!! It's most definitely "fury". Makes much better sense. Hmmm.. I don't think there's purity in sex in any case. haha... that's just ridiculous. Sex without fury DOES make sense.
and also, the cd booklet says "fury" It is fury, believe me.
