Leave Mine to Me Lyrics
There are desperate times upon us,
There are codes of white and black,
Political resentment and people start to crack,
There's hate and opposition,
There's fumbling dialog,
Yet you sit there and judge me
And you think it makes a difference
If you think I'm all alone you are foolishly wrong,
There's an entire army who blindly follow along,
And you happen to be one of them believe it or not,
Even though you try not to be we are of the same plague
The other ways we're taught to fear,
Don't even scratch the surface of the problem here,
I'm not blind, and I'm not scared,
So many crucial factors exist out there,
And we're but one, and they're bout two,
And how we come to terms will help us pull through
Things cannot change too fast,
It took us this much time,
To reach our current platform and walk this fragile line,
If I thought I'd make a difference I'd kill myself today,
But so many are like me lost in the fray
You create your own reality,
And leave mine to me
There are codes of white and black,
Political resentment and people start to crack,
There's hate and opposition,
There's fumbling dialog,
Yet you sit there and judge me
And you think it makes a difference
There's an entire army who blindly follow along,
And you happen to be one of them believe it or not,
Even though you try not to be we are of the same plague
Don't even scratch the surface of the problem here,
I'm not blind, and I'm not scared,
So many crucial factors exist out there,
And we're but one, and they're bout two,
And how we come to terms will help us pull through
It took us this much time,
To reach our current platform and walk this fragile line,
If I thought I'd make a difference I'd kill myself today,
But so many are like me lost in the fray
And leave mine to me

I agree somewhat with pinkrage this song hurts my brain listening to it on repeat. But I have it on to try and figure out what the fuck it's about. Difficult with so many contradictions. I'll just agree with the first post here.
This song is about how people always try to force their own lifestyle on others and make them believe in their beliefs, and this song is basically saying that the world is in a scary place right now, and it would be best to leave other people to their own beliefs. That's what I get from it anyway.
I agree completely. Says we'll never see eye to eye, but let's just let it go and keep what peace we have.
even though you try not to be we are of the same plague- i really like this line along with the last two ( you create your own reality, and leave mine to me ) We are already different as it is, damm people running around screaming individuallity when they dont have to because they already have some kind of identity. We should focus a bit more on how similar we all are rather then trying to be an individual. "and how we come to terms will help us pull through" We are fighting a war on two fronts, one over seas and the other at home
remember the most important kind of respect out there is SELF-Respect, apply it to your life in anyway just dont forget it
i apoligize about my fragmented comment, i was talking about multiple ideas
MadcaPPunk i totally agree with you too
I think they were like jacking off when they wrote this song.
surpasses Portrait of Authority :-) worst BR song ever. no im not kiding. If I was stranded on an island and HAD to delete one song, from all their albums ...yea..gotta do waht you gotta do
Perhaps it's a commentary (or something like that) of Minor Threat's, "Guilty of Being White."
People really don't like this song? I think it's one of BR's better songs. It's a bit rough but it's one of their more punky songs. Basically what it's about is you do what you gotta do and I'll do what I gotta do. Also I don't see any contradictions in the song, what could he be referring to?
But I must say, if we really had to delete one song, would you really not choose Lose As Directed? :O
