You've got to trust your instinct
And let go of regret
You've got to bet on yourself now star
'Cause that's your best bet
Watch me now with a wicked and wild and I said
We come with the funky style
That gets us known for the show
And we'll mix the hip hop reggae if we say it is so
And fuck the naysayers 'cause they don't mean a thing
'Cause this is what style we bring

Now it's morning but last night's on my mind
There's something I need to get off my chest
And no matter what may come to shine
The dream will always be mine

All mixed up you don't know what to do
Next thing you turn around and find the person is you
Thought a freak might be the thing
But the first could be the last so just get off your ass
All mixed up you don't know what to do
Next thing you turn around and find the person is you
Thought a freak might be the thing
But you know this will pass so just get off your ass

You've got to trust your instinct
And let go of regret
You've got to bet on yourself now star
'Cause that's your best bet
Watch me now with a wicked and wild and I said
Sick sick bit got to have it
Like bustin' in on a session but you got to call it quits
Sick sick bit just can't quit
Fact that you don't even know makes it fully legit

Now it's morning but last night's on my mind
There's something I need to get off my chest
And no matter what will come to shine
The dream will always be mine

You keep me coming
That is a gal that'll kill 'dem stunning
Keep me coming
That is a gal that'll kill 'dem stunning
Keep me coming
That is a gal that'll kill 'dem stunning
Keep me coming
That is a gal that'll kill 'dem stunning

You make me nervous throat dry
My brain is empty don't know why
But I saw you doing something
Which is really truly nothing
But you could bust me out all day

Many moons since first I saw you
Many moons since first we did the do
Many moons since first I saw you
Many moons since first we did the do

And why did I try when I knew it was no and
Why did I try when I saw it was so
But save it for late we should just let it skate
'Cause the waiting feel is fine

PEACE EVERYONE...SO YEAH IM FROM CENTRAL JERZ AND THERE THIS CHICK I KNOW. WE MET ACTUALLY ON A DATING SITE AND WE DECIDED TO BE JUST STRICTLY FRIENDS 1ST, GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER AND SEE WHERE IT LEADS. SO HANGING OUT FOR A MONTH NOW,THEN WE GO TO A CONCERT THE NEXT DAY WE ARE TEXTN SAYS SHE DOESN'T FEEL THE ROMANCE. I DIDN'T EVEN ASK HER OUT SO I THINK SHE WAS NOTICING THAT I WAS GETTING INTO HER TOO FAST NOT KNOWING ANYTHING ABOUT HER FIRST.

SO I THINK IM ALL MIXED UP U KNOW THE VERSE: All mixed up you dont know what to do Next thing you turn around and find the person is you Thought a freak might be the thing But the first could be the last so just get off your ass All mixed up you dont know what to do Next thing you turn around and find the person is you Thought a freak might be the thing But you know this will pass so just get off your ass

WE ARE VERY SIMILAR IN PERSONALITY. SO ITS LIKE LOOKING INTO A MIRROR. BUT SHES NOT TRUSTING HER INSTINCTS. SHE HAS A LOT OF REGRET IN HER LIFE. WHEN WE CHILL SOMETIMES SHE MAKES ME NERVOUS AND MY THROAT DRY BUT THAT'S BECAUSE WE ARE NOT SOBER LOL SHE MAKES ME HAVE TROUBLE THINKING AND I DON'T KNOW WHY, JUST KEEP THINKING TO MYSELF HOW PERFECT SHE IS WE DON'T EVEN ARGUE ALWAYS TRY TO UNDERSTANDS EACH OTHERS PERSPECTIVES AND EVENTUALLY COME TO AN AGREEMENT.

SO NOW ABOUT THIS ONE: And why did I try when I knew it was no and Why did I try when I saw it was so But save it for late we should just let it skate Cause the waiting feel is fine

WAITING TO GET TO KNOW HER IS DEFINITELY WORTH THE WAIT. BECAUSE WE WILL ALWAYS HAVE SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT.

MAYBE U GUYS MAY NOT AGREE WITH ME ON THESE MEANINGS BUT U KNOW WHAT. I LIVE FOR MUSIC AND I HAVE TROUBLE EXPRESSING MYSELF SO EVERY SONG I HEAR I THINK ON MANY LEVELS. LIKE SYMBOLISM AND A PHILOSOPHICAL P.O.V.

    PEACE AND LOVE IM OUT

This is the perfect song for a "get it done and don't let anyone get in your way" kinda mood.

To me, this song is about success in the music industry. Not just by an industry standpoint, but even more importantly, a personal standpoint. The first verse lays out what the band does, critics be damned and the consequence of this is the chorus "all of a sudden, we (the band) are the ones in the industry spotlight. This could be the only shot, so let's really make this work."
On the second verse, the band's session is going overtime, but not that the band notices because they are doing what they love to do and would do it whether they were successful or not. "the dream will always be mine".
and also why the "waiting feel is fine" ... although I'm still not sure of the "moons" part :)

Yeah, totally, I listen to this song before I have to do something major, like a presentation in school or whatever.... it's a great motivator.

311 is NOT code for the KKK...if you'd actually read their lyrics you'd know that...311 is the Omaha, Nebraska police code for indecent exposure. One of the bandmembers was skinny-dipping in a pool and got caught..so the guys thought it would be funny to name their band after the code.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
