Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.
Respect the structure
Songs have rhythm. Pages do too. Leave line breaks where they belong. Don’t smash things together or add extra empty space just for looks.
Punctuation counts (but vibe-editing doesn’t)
Correct typos? Yes. Re-punctuating a whole verse because it ‘looks better’? Probably not. Keep capitalization and punctuation close to the official source.
Don’t mix versions
If you’re editing the explicit version, keep it explicit. If it’s the clean version, keep it clean. No mashups.
Let the lyrics be lyrics
This isn’t the place for interpretations, memories, stories, or trivia — that’s what comments are for. Keep metadata, translations, and bracketed stage directions out unless they’re officially part of the song.
Edit lightly
If two lines are wrong… fix the two lines. No need to bulldoze the whole page. Think ‘surgical,’ not ‘remix.’
When in doubt, ask the crowd
Not sure what they’re singing in that fuzzy bridge? Drop a question in the comments and let the music nerds swarm. Someone always knows.
Yeah, this song is basically written because Daniel Johns really liked Minor Threat, and he wanted to write a short punk-ish song like them...so he did, and here it is!
I like this song. I like the guitar, the structure, the screaming, the way he repeats one line in the end. However, I liked all that much more in tourettes by Nirvana. It is a complete rip-off. Listen to the two songs back to back, and you will see how close they are to each other. I still like this song, but it IS a rip-off.
alsoo.. ther song "minor threat" sounds.. wierdly the same too..
hmmmmmm.. kinda disapointed in silverchair for not changeing the chord progression a bit more.
well
i read that they liked nirvana, but they never intended on sounding like them. they were never like, huge fans.
so how they ended up "ripping-off" nirvana, i do not know.

Hmmm what to say? I love this song. So much emotion put into it, yet simplistic in nature...the meaning is kinda self-explanatory.
i love the bit that goes:
Gonna be a liar? Lie to me Yeah
Gonna be a while? Lie to me Yeah
lol. good song, lol, lol lol
