Please die Ana
For as long as you're here we're not
You make the sound of laughter
And sharpened nails seem softer
And I need you now somehow
And I need you now somehow

Open fire
On the needs designed on my knees for you
Open fire
On my knees desires what I need from you

Imagine pageant
In my head the flesh seems thicker
Sandpaper tears corrode the film

And I need you now somehow
And I need you now somehow

Open fire
On the needs designed on my knees for you
Open fire
On my knees desires what I need from you

And you're my obsession
I love you to the bones
And Ana wrecks your life
Like an Anorexia life

Open fire
On the needs designed on my knees for you
Open fire
On my knees desires what I need from you

Open fire
On the needs designed
Open fire
On my knees desires what I need from you

"ana" is an abriviation for anorexia. Mainly people in the "pro-ana" community use the word ana. Pro-ana people are people who believe that eating disorders are a lifestyle choice and not a disease. "Please die ana" is where he is talking about how he wants his eating disorder to go away. I know this because i suffer from anorexia, but i am NOT pro-ana.

song IS about Ana (i call Anorexia Ana and Bulimia Mia) Please die ana For as long as you're here we're not (he want) You make the sound of laughter And sharpened nails seem softer (the sound of laughter after vomit and the sharpen nails down the throat look like a victory) And I need you now somehow And I need you now somehow (needs Ana to make him feel pretty) Open fire on the needs designed (again wants to get rid, the 'needs designed) On my knees for you (begging for Ana to forgive him, on his knees to purge) Open fire on my knees desires What I need from you (vomit on his knees, needing to have control over himself) the rest of the song explains itself.

I wish Silverchair would have produced an acoustic version of this song. This is one of those songs that everyone knows about and bruns lighters at the concert due to the wonderful lyrical element and passion in this song. Expression of pain is the key to survival, and in that case, he will survive forever. Listen and Feel.

Daniel Johns went through a period of time in which he was suffering from anorexia. That's what this song is about, plan and simple. Ana = anorexia. It's an obvious meaning, and it's been pointed out by Daniel Johns himself in many interviews. Sometimes I think people try to hard to find meaning in something that they over look what's obvious.

you all suck. i thought it was about him being in love with a girl named ana who he couldn't have but made him incredibly happy, but you all squashed that cute little dream, didn't you?

Taylor Swift
This song is Swift's response to the negative reputation the media has given her. "I can make the bad guys good for a weekend" - the bad guys are the paparazzi to Swift, but are good to the "player" since association with Swift immediately gives publicity. Any publicity is good publicity and Swift knows this. "You can tell me when it's over" - the tabloids rumor relationships are over before the couple announces it officially. With this song Swift is portraying the way she is portrayed by the media. It is a sarcastic jab at how she views herself and how her "ex-lovers" only wanted to be with her to increase their fame. I applaud the brilliance in writing about how you always write about relationships. It is expected so Swift is giving the media what they want and profiting off the attention.
