This is my favourite Silverchair song, i love the way that the music is, it's very calm then hard, that brings out alot of emotion in itself and i love the strings and I love the lyrics

i think its about his eating disorder very good song tho...still very sad

I think it's about his feelings towards the end of his bout with anorexia. Ana's Song is about the actual disease and his coping with it, while this seems to be about depression and what caused it.

@Kez: what kind of argumentation is that? Just because Anas song is obviously about anorexia, that doesnt mean this one isnt. "another body down" "a portrait of my skeletal gain" "selfish and hungry" "feed me the pain" "escape reality with new pain" All sounds very much like an eating disorder, while "all i can think of are ways to die alone" "negativity`s a state of mind" etc. describe the depression wich usually comes with an ed.

i think its about him suffering and not knwoing where to put his emotions. he talks of suicide but is too afraid to do it or is holding onto something so "the cycle starts again"

I love how they play so calm then it just explodes...its awesome!

this song can also sort apply to his ed ("A portrait of my skeletal gain") and its still not good enough ("left selfish and hungry so feed me the pain") it cood also have something to do with self-injury ("escape reality with new pain") and ("and all i can think of are ways to die alone")
