Wreckage - My mind
Insecure - All the time
Once loved - Now Paralyzed
I once thought - I'll never die
Frustrated - Our simple Life
No one listens - Everyone lies
Who said "Home is where you hide"?
Strong as shit now you see
I'm home - leave it to me (leave it to me)
From left to right... (repeat)
I tried - my Father said,
I'm scared - she always said
They grab and pull until I tear
Meaning - Too deep to swim
When's a good time for the end?
Who said I was your friend?
I'm home - Leave it to me (leave it to me now that you've seen)
I'm home - leave it to me (leave it to me)
From left to right..
Suffocated - our simple life
No one listens - everyone dies
Never a chance - how could you see?
I'm home - leave it to me (leave it to me)
I'm home - leave it to me (leave it to me now that you've seen)
I'm home - leave it to me (leave it to me)
I'm home - leave it to me (what the fuck did you say?)
From left to right...
Insecure - All the time
Once loved - Now Paralyzed
I once thought - I'll never die
Frustrated - Our simple Life
No one listens - Everyone lies

I'm home - leave it to me (leave it to me)

"Home" is one of those hard-to-grasp songs, but I'll give it a shot. I think it's about having rough times at home, and being scared and having no place to run to. And then you just have to take charge of these issues (I'm home - leave it to me!) and make them stop on your own. This may also reflect their musical career.
I'm not really sure about this one,but there are parts of the song which make me think this can only be about having a tough time at home " Who said Home is where you hide? " I think that this is about how when Sevendust were starting out there were a lot of people telling them it wouldnt work out and now that they have made three )or at the time of this album two) great albums with a huge fanbase, they are home. "I'm home - leave it to me (leave it to me) I'm home - leave it to me (leave it to me now that you've seen) I'm home - leave it to me (leave it to me) I'm home - leave it to me (what the fuck did you say?)" i think that part sums up the feeling of "told you we'd be succesful" anyways im done
it means in a simple fact that he did something bad in the home he lives in ran away but decided to come back and face it head on
I believe this song is about a vet returning home or possibly someone going back into the world after a lengthy prison stay having experienced both this song connected with me and spoke to my experiences and state of mind at those times on a very deep level and how those experiences change you forever and your family and how we relay those changes to everything we touch from then on
@JSFain bit of a different take on the song, but I can definitely see where you are coming from. As others said it could be about people returning home after leaving their problems behind (perhaps that was prison, leaving abroad to serve whilst forgoing something at home). Good contribution!

This song is about a bad domestic relationship....how a man, once a child, reflects on his experience with his family growing up and how they were so f'd up and how his parents' fighting affected him. The parents battled for control, thus: I'm home - leave it to me (leave it to me) He personifies the struggle between mother and father: "From left to right.. " when he says "from left to right" he's illustrating the fight and struggle for control from one parent to another, back and forth--like a see-saw. These 3 lines sum up the song: "I tried - my Father said, I'm scared - she [Mother] always said They grab and pull until I [me as a child] tear" These other lines describe the situation in more detail: "Wreckage - My mind Insecure - All the time Once loved - Now Paralyzed I once thought - I'll never die Frustrated - Our simple Life No one listens - Everyone lies Who said "Home is where you hide"? ... Suffocated - our simple life No one listens - everyone dies Never a chance - how could you see?"
AWESOME SONG!
I think Rog nailed it.
