a universe to fill
cant scratch the surface
now a slow pay
still whys everyone watching
its like im real tired of the clones
im real tired of the clones
whatever you you say
whatever you say
whatever you say
bring me a light
make my life worth something more
show me a light
bring a light
bring me a light
make me life worth somthing more
show me a light
bring a light
wheres the spave if fill
where the sympathy i killed
i need to find a meaning
im useless, im useless
trapped inside my own web
whatever you say
whatever you say
whatever you say
bring me a light
make a light worth something more
show me a light
bring a light
bring me a light
make a light worth something more
show me a light
bring a light
when im all alone
i stare at nothingness
painful silence
painful silence kills
bring me a light
make a light worth something more
show me a light
bring a light
bring me a light
make a light worth something more
show me a light
bring a light
whatever you say
whatever you say
bring me a light
make a light worth something more
show me a light
bring a light
i think its about secluding yourself from everyone else because you got sick of the mainstream, the mundane, everyone trying to be like everyone else, its about individualism and becoming secluded due to it. That's my thoughts at least.
I think it's really just about feeling useless and overwhelemed, and he doesn't want to listen whenever people tell him not to worry about it (whatever you say). The chorus is asking for someone to give him something to do, so he'll be useful.
its about the masses and he is trying to convey a message that it is a much better thing to be a leader than a follower (reall tired of the clones). And the repetition of whatever you say simply means i'll go along with what you have to say because Id rather not have to think for myself. And "bring me a light..." is saying that something or someone else is the measurment of your happiness and fufillment. Which is no good, still the song rocks, and if you read the lyrics you find it promotes people to do and think for themselvs.
oops sry forgot to adress this part of the song the lyrics go: " wheres the spave if fill where the sympathy i killed i need to find a meaning im useless, im useless trapped inside my own web"
suggesting that sometimes even the speaker of the song falls into that whole trendy, fall into the masses, bullshit. We all have been subjected to this at one point or another, lol its ok.
It was a working title that stuck. Alot of their songs rae named for the same reason.
I think this song is about being over dealing with the crap of everyday life that shit gets really old after awhile...They are tired of all of the unlessness in this world and are just gonna move past it.....SEVENDUST IS THE BEST BAND EVER.
Spave? It's misspelt; it's mean to say space.
I think its about writers block, to be honest.
I think the song is about the internal struggles of an agnostic, do I believe in god or not, he's waffling. The lyrics alternate back in forth between agreement (belief) and disgreement (disbelief). Broken down some:
Clones = sheep or believers in a religion
Whatever is said in religion your're just supposed to swallow and not question
But he wants to believe in something because his life doesn't have any meaning, show him something so he can believe
He doesn't know what to believe he feels no meaning in life, useless but he is trapped by his own logic and can't believe. Show him the light something he can believe so he doesn't have to question his beliefs, he wants to believe but not be a sheep.
this a damn good song in concert, talk about energy
