What does he tell me this time? We're just whores on a fucking assembly line.
Believe me I was there. Take what I want and get the fuck out of here.lets raise the wall, somebody,to raise the wall. Suck me. Jonnys been a very bad boy (X3)
Jonnys been a very bad boy....This door is so high. My life is oblivious to you and the sun hurts my eyes, but remember you were not going to raise the wall. stop me ,to raise the wall. (ooh) and you look at me, see through me, I am nothing to you, you look at me, see through me, I am nothing to you, what does it want to be? you know you love me. you want to ruin me, I take this end. Destroy this in me but if you want someone... one will come down fighting for you!

Rules... It's about some dick who dont love his women, or they dont love him, and yeah, she's telling him this and stuff...like that he should grow up, and stop with his man-whore behaviour......nice song, I like it

Anyone heard of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac? I'm a very big fan of the comic book series and the part that got me is when she writes to raise the wall. Anyone who has read it, will see where I am coming from.

I thot it was about a guy who was always hookin up with girls and they knew wat he was like but they just kept on coming (on a fucking assembly line) and when the latest girl is talking about how bad hes been treating her the girls are all sayin "I know...been there" kinda thing. Then they realise he needs to be taught something and just go and tell him hes such as asshole and he oughta grow up. I know a guy just like that. I would almost think the band had wrote this bout a few of the boys in my town!!

You know this DOES actually remind me of JTHM, and its not just the title. Maybe someone in the band is a fan of the comic or something. Anyhow, I think the song means a guy whos like a womanizer, but then just treats all his ladies like slaves or something, and they arent gonna take it anymore. That`s what I think.

ok first off i thought the lyrics were different, i heard "Trains wont...stop me" not "to raise the wall" and i also heard "remember you are not good!" not "remember you would not go..." and FINALLY I heard "you love you not me. even with my eyes, I take it all in.if you want one..." instead of whats up there. correct me if what i thought was wrong... well anyways everything i thought the song was about has already been said so yea.

It's 'trains won't - stop me' not 'lets raise the wall'.

Like a lot of the other comments are saying, I think this mainly about voyeurism. If the song was about his girlfriend, then why would he use the word spy. If you are a spy it means you shouldn't be caught, that is kind of the whole point, and if you are a voyeur, the whole point of the pleasure you get from it, is the fact that the other people don't know you are watching them. See a bit of a connection there?

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
